Weekend Highlights!

Happy Christmas week, ladies!!! Only 4 days until Christmas is here! I still have last minute stuff to do before family arrives, and last minute gifts to buy, but I promised myself I would not stress about it. I will enjoy the rest of the holidays and you should too!

Lots of fun happened this weekend! We ran, and ran, and ran some more! Here's a little recap..enjoy!

Friday evening we had game night planned so Friday morning I woke up, had coffee, and started baking some goodies and preparing some appetizers!

These flourless peanut butter cookies are to. die. for. #notevenkidding
I will share the recipe with you sometime in the future! :)

I also made this lemon bundt cake. I think I've made this cake three times in the last two months per Spencer's request.

You can find the recipe over at Shay's foodie blog.

I also made some other appetizers (not pictured) and put together a small veggie tray.

My bff also brought some cheese cubes, guacamole, and other goodies.
Here's our game night goodies!

We snacked, and snacked, and snacked some more. It was all so yummy!

After we ate our first round of snacks, we hit the games hard.

We love Uno! We also played Bible trivia, Spoon's, War, and some other fun games!
Our friends stayed over until 1:00 am the next morning. I have not done that in years! We had FUN, y'all! Fun!

Also, a little elf decided to show up... ;)

On Saturday morning, we had coffee, lazed around for a few hours, and then I ran to get some Christmas gifts. When I got home, Robby was really into helping mommy wrap gifts. ;) He loved to steal my tape, tear up the paper, and drool all over my gifts.

Saturday evening we went to see Santa at Bass Pro Shops! I enjoyed seeing Santa there instead of the mall. It's a neat store. And I love to fish. Seriously.

We stood in line for an hour and it was craziness! Lots and lots of people.

We finally made it to Santa and Robby decided to fall asleep.

He and Santa had too many cookies and too much milk.

And my nephew and sister went too!

 Such sweet cousins!

On Sunday morning we went to church and they performed The Story. It was a SPECTACULAR day and such a beautiful service. We have so much talent in our church. It's unreal.

We also got the sweetest box of goodies from our friends, Blake and Elisha. We ate several pieces of candy before lunch. ;) Thank you, friends!! They were delicious!

Sunday evening we watched War Room. Y'all! If y'all have never seen it go right now and rent it or buy it. It's such a great family movie! I had chills so many times! It's one movie I would buy on DVD. And I'm not a DVD buyer. It's that good.

Overall, we had a fun-filled and busy weekend! We are looking forward to Christmas and spending time with all of our family!

I hope you all have VERY Merry Christmas! I wish you all love, laughter, and lots of memories. And may we all remember the real reason for the season.

 From our family to yours...

2015 Christmas Decorations

I'm pretty sure I cannot keep calm! Christmas is in 10 days and I'm not even halfway done Christmas shopping! Freak out moment.

This year has definitely been focused on our little man and adjusting our schedules to match his! We're usually done Christmas shopping by now and all of the gifts have been wrapped. Nope, not this year. But I wouldn't change it for anything. I love my little guy!

And because I'm so behind, I figured I will go ahead and show you my Christmas decor a week late...no judging allowed! ;)

Here's our tree.

I bought this sweet cookie jar 3 years ago at Cracker Barrel. If you've never been to their store during the holidays, you better get over there. They have such cute stuff! I'm sure you'll be hungry from shopping so you may want to go ahead and order yourself some pecan pancakes. You won't be disappointed.

Here is the garland above our kitchen cabinets.

I have a thing for nutcrackers. I don't know why. I just think they're cuties.
This fella is on top of my hutch.   And this fella is on top of my fridge.

I have a thing for aprons. I have to keep myself from buying one every time I go to Marshall's. They have darling aprons, fyi.
My red one I keep out during Christmas.

Someone once asked me if I really wear them...the answer is yes! I love wearing an apron while cooking. It's cute and it keeps your clothes clean. :)

Ok this is one of my FAVORITE Christmas decorations. This cute little rug was my husbands growing up. I love stuff with a story and this has a story.
Isn't he the cutest Santa?!

This little tray was also my husbands growing up. This is Santa's treat tray. I can't wait to use it now that Robby is here. We will put cookies for Santa on it along with carrots for his reindeer. A reindeer's gotta eat too. ;)

This little snowman lantern was my husbands growing up as well. Super sweet.
He's in our powder room to greet you as you potty. ;) #awkward

Here's few more photos of my decor...

This little wooden candy cane was ALSO my husbands as a child. I LOVE having Christmas decor from his childhood.

Because we're lame, our house doesn't have a fireplace (ugh).

Our stockings are hanging on our bar that separates the living room from the kitchen. Good thing Robby isn't old enough to realize there's not fireplace for Santa to come down! Our next home we buy will DEFINITELY have a fireplace.

That's about all of my Christmas decor. I have a bunch of Spencer's childhood wooden ornaments that we will use to put on Robby's Christmas tree in his room every year. They are super sweet. You'll have to stay tuned until next year to see those... ;)

Tonight my sister and I are going out to eat and to Christmas shop. #girlsnight

I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday and I will see you Friday!

Friday Favorites: Christmas Ornament Edition

Oh Friday, let me hug you...

I got a good kick out of this picture when my sister sent this to me yesterday! She knows me so well. I'm an avid coffee drinker and a Grinch lover. #holidayhoobiewhatie

Today I'm linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for Friday Favorites!

On today's Friday Favorites I will be sharing some of my very favorite Christmas tree ornaments. I want to see your favorite ornaments so let me know if you post about yours!!

I love this joy ornament from Hobby Lobby! I love it because I love joyous people and things, and this ornament was made from an old recipe. How cute is that?? Love.

I'm sure you can already guess why I like this "G" ornament! G for Green which is our last name. It's only appropriate to have an initial on the tree! :)

This one doesn't have any special meaning. It's just a cute little acorn I got this year from Hobby Lobby.

This one I bought about 4 years ago when I would "one day" get married and have my own Christmas tree. Well I love it because now we've been married a little over 2 years and I finally can use the ornaments I collected for my "future" home. It's silver and shiny and just all around pretty.

I don't think you know this, but I have a thing for birds. Not real birds. Those are strange. But decorative birds. They make me think of Spring and I love Spring.

Ok these next two are my absolute FAVORITE ornaments. They have so much meaning to me and I'm excited to share them with you...

I bought this sweet ornament from Etsy with one of our wedding pictures on it for our very first Christmas together as husband and wife. This ornament will always and forever be on my Christmas trees.

Drum roll please...................

Since it's Robby's 1st Christmas, it's only right to get him his very own ornament. This one is from Hobby Lobby as well. If you haven't noticed, I love Hobby Lobby. Cue Hobby Lobby sending me a gift card NOW... ;)

I'm sure one day I will have a tree full of homemade ornaments from Robby and all of my future children and I cannot wait for that tree. I know it's going to be the sweetest.

I have a lot more ornaments and sprigs and fancy things on my tree, but these 7 are the ones that catch my eyes the most. I would love to see your favorite ornaments!

And one last but definitely not least Friday Favorite...

...Robby!
On Wednesday I snapped this sweet photo of Robby playing with an ornament. Of course it was perfect for my Friday Favorites: Christmas Ornament Edition. ;)

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday! We will be taking Robby to see Santa for the very first time and we are very excited!

See you next week.

Love from the Green's....
