Holiday Questionnaire: Christmas Edition

Happy Tuesday to ya! Today is going to be a fun day! I have laundry to do, organizing to do, party planning to do, chocolate cake eating to do...doesn't that sound fun?? Before I start all that fun stuff, I wanted to do this fun little holiday questionnaire I came across from Shelly at The Queen in Between's blog. Let me know if you do this cute questionnaire so I can read yours!

Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy...

A holiday tradition: Here in Austin, Texas we have the Zilker Park Trail of Lights and I absolutely love going each year. I'm like a kid in a candy shop when it comes to Christmas lights and I can't wait to continue this tradition with Robby every year.

What you'd love to see Santa bring you most this year: I REALLY have been wanting the Pioneer Woman's jadeite inspired cake stand for a long time. Every time I go to Walmart (which is VERY rare for me) they are sold out. Ugh. As if. So I'm hoping Santa will magically restock Walmart with more.

What's your go to stocking stuffer item: I usually put candy and a pair of socks in my husbands Christmas stockings. I do other random things too but every Christmas as husband and wife I've put a pair of socks and his favorite candy.

Who is the hardest person to shop for during the holidays: Definitely my husbands dad and step-mom. There, I said it... :O

Favorite winter accessory: Scarves all the way.

Christmas tree lights; colors or all white: All white. I like them because they're classy and the colored lights don't really match my style.

Favorite holiday cocktail: Does coffee count?

Favorite holiday food: All of it!! But seriously. I love holiday food. I only get it twice a year so I really like it.

Do you have a good White Elephant gift idea: Ok one time my husband bought two of the BIG boxes of Ramen noodles to give as his White Elephant gift. Not kidding. He went home with that gift, lol.

I'm pretty boring. I usually give gift cards, but last year I found all kinds of cute vintage games from Marshall's so I gifted Jacks, Pick up Sticks, Dominoes, and something else. All vintage. And all adorable.

Do you have a funny picture of you and Santa as a kid: No, I don't think so.

Do you like candy canes: I like to swirl them around in my hot chocolate or even my coffee sometimes but I don't really eat them by themselves.

Hot chocolate..marshmallows or no? Uh, yes. The mini marshmallows.

Favorite holiday song: I love all vintage Christmas songs so I really love Mele Kalikimaka by Bing Crosby. Don't ask.

Favorite holiday movie: Can that be movie(s) (plural)?! I have two favorites. Please, PLEASE don't make me choose between the two. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and The Holiday. I love The Grinch too. I'll consider that my favorite kid Christmas movie... ;) I really love Christmas movies.

One of my favorite quotes from this movie!
 I love the Griswold's.

A funny holiday story: Every year when my family would decorate the house for Christmas, my dad would always take at least an hour, if not more, separating the tree limbs before he would let us decorate. We would practically have the whole house decorated before we could even start decorating the tree. :) Oh how I miss my daddy.

Have you ever been on a sleigh ride: Does a horse with a carriage that looks like Santa's sleigh count? :)

A fun holiday memory: Many years growing up, my "job" was decorating the mantle for Christmas. I've decorated it for as long as I can remember.

I hope you enjoyed this holiday questionnaire! I had fun writing it and it really made me think of fun Christmas memories. :)

Have a LOVELY Tuesday.

Love from the Green's...
